Acanthus mollis

For dislocated joints, for burns, in treating irritated mucous membranes within the digestive and urinary tracts (plant); to soothe burns and scalds (crushed leaves)

Anemone acutiloba

In the treatment of fevers, liver ailments and poor digestion (leaves); bleeding from the lungs, coughs, cancer, childbirth, diphtheria, enterosis, enuresis, fracture, hernia, incontinence, leukorrhea, ophthalmia.

Angelica atropurpurea

In the treatment of colds, rheumatism etc (leaves); in the treatment of fevers, colds, flatulent colic and other stomach disorders, obstructed menses and as a general tonic for women, as a gargle for sore throats and mouths and as a poultice for broken bones, swellings etc (infusion)

Arnica montana

An external treatment for bruises and sprains (Castro, 1990 and Bown, 1995); in the treatment of heart complaints and as a booster for the immune system. Arnica is used topically for a wide range of conditions including bruises, sprains, muscle aches, wound healing, acne, superficial phlebitis, rheumatic pain, inflammation from insect bites, and swelling due to fractures.

Cimicifuga racemosa

Bronchitis, cancer (tongue), children's ailments, chorea, chronic bronchitis, common cold, cough, cramps, diarrhea, dysmenorrhea, female ailments, fever, hysteria, itch, kidney ailments, malaise, malaria, nerves, orthopedic ailments, parturition.

Cissus quadrangularis

Bone healing (plant and stem); asthma (stem); stimulating gastric acid secretion (young shoots and leaf); irregular menstruation, dyspepsia, indigestion, piles, worms, gout, syphilis, venereal diseases, leucorrhoea and anorexia.

Curcuma angustifolia

For subnormal body temperature, fever, diarrhoea and gravel (rhizome); for jaundice (tuber powder). The juice obtained by crushing the rhizome is rubbed on swellings of the body. A paste of the rhizome is bound with a cloth on fractures. The essential plant oil is used to expel intestinal worms.

Cyamopsis tetragonoloba

Removes biliousness and night-blindness (fruit); in curing sprains and swellings (soaked seeds); for the plague, enlarged livers, head-swellings and on swellings due to broken bones (boiled seeds)

Litsea monopetala

On fractures, painful body parts and in diarrhea (bark); for pains, bruises and contusion, for fractures in animals (powdered bark and root); as ointment for rheumatism (seeds).

Osyris wightiana

For relieving pain and as an emetic (infusion); in bone fracture (leaves and stem).

Rubia cordifolia

To treat skin diseases, piles, diabetes, fracture, freckles, in rheumatism, leprosy, menorrhagia, abnormal uterine bleeding, internal and external haemorrhage, bronchitis, rheumatism, stones in the kidney, urinary bladder and gall bladder, dysentery etc. (root); antidote for scorpion stings and bites by cobras, in the treatment of blood disorders and spreading fever of kidneys and intestines (stem); spleen enlargement and liver problems (plant).

Stellaria media

As a plaster in swolen areas and broken bones, to relieve constipation, useful in rheumatism, inflammations of the digestive, renal, respiratory and reproductive tracts, asthma, congestion, and bronchitis, obesity, high cholesterol, in severe inflammations of skin, such as erysipelas, scalds and burns, crural ulcers, haemorrhoids, eczema, to soothe severe itchiness and inflammations of eyes (plant); as a poultice or ointment for skin irritation and inflammation as well as for skin ulcers. Boils, carbuncles, and abscesses

Strophanthus sarmentosus

Used to treat anxiety, atherosclerosis, arthrosis, constipation, diarrhea, fracture, high Blood Pressure, leprosy, rheumatism, scabies, poisonous bites and sores.

Terminalia alata

For ulcers, bronchitis, atonic diarrhea, to treat bone fractures and haemorrhages (bark); for atonic diarrhoea and is used as a local application for relief of weak, indolent ulcers (bark decoction).

Terminalia arjuna

As a tonic (fruit); treating people with high levels of blood triglycerides and cholesterol, to treat heart diseases, consumption, spermaturia, skin diseases, fracture, intrinsic haemorrhage, wounds, piles, diarrhoea and as a liver tonic (bark).

Uraria picta

For healing bone fractures and for the treatment of urinary diseases, tumours, oedema, burning sensation and difficult breathing (plant); to treat gonorrhoea (leaves); as an antidote for snake bite, in the treatment of anal prolapse in infants (root); for cough, chills and fevers (decoction); to treat sore mouth in children (pods).

Veratrum viride

Cures puerperal fever, phthisis pulmonalis, acute rheumatism, gastric irritation, colic, tetanus, acute gonorrhea, active cerebral engorgement, exophthalmic goiter with tachycardia, aneurism, acute cases of pneumonia, peritonitis, threatened apoplexy, chronic coughs, constipation, for bruises, sprains, fractures, to treat aches and pains
